So I have been missing in action for a while now… we are all busy lets face it. Unfortunately this blog is one of the first things that dropped off the ever growing “To Do List”. BUT – I am back, and with a recent surge of motivation to get THE LIST down I decided to start with a few quick and simple tasks.
First stop – IKEA: When living in Melbourne I had a fear of IKEA. It was a decent drive from home, I worked full time, and it’s not a place you wish to visit on the weekend. My husband and I learnt that the hard way. Anyway, when we moved to Sydney, it was located close to home and as I wasn’t working I could go during the day. So what was once a stressful place, actually isn’t that bad. (Plus my daughter loves the child minding – BONUS, and my too young to go into said child minding son loves the 50c ice-cream) Anyway, I wanted to sort the kids pencils – I had the usual pencil cases, but they were kept in a drawer which was tough to open and for young children I think it is hard to see what they have inside. Hence, pencils all over the table or floor. So I purchased these beautiful tins – pretty sure they are for plants. I got my Stampin’ Up Big Shot out and the largest Stampin’ Up Framelits from the ‘Apothecary Accents’ set. I had some chalkboard fabric which I purchased from a fabric store some time ago. This is the end result.
I am still trying to decide what to write on the labels – at this stage I’m thinking that each child will have a tin, and the third can be ‘Share’. The share tin will have items like scissors, rulers and erasers. They are already a hit!!!
Did you know I am a Stampin’ Up Independent Demonstrator?
